This past Thursday was our 9th wedding anniversary! We celebrated tonight with a nice long walk and little date night at an italian restaurant. We had a great time and just enjoyed being together.
Before that we were at a cluster meeting in Spa, Belgium. The whole family had a great time of refreshing, renewal, and learning.
While there, there was a super special unexpected treat that came in the form of 13 strangers from all over Arkansas. Each one arrived after 24 hours of travel to come teach our children for one amazing week. They came smiling and hugging (like only southern women can! There were two southern men in the team, as well, and they were great huggers too!) Each one that came was so precious to every child in attendance. They ate with us, they watched the kids by monitoring the halls WAY after they should have demanded to be off duty. I don't know many people with such a giving, loving spirit as these 13. Instead of rushing off on fun little excursions to Germany or France during evening diner or lunch meals, they chose to hang out with and bless us (a bunch of English language fellowship starved missionaries)! What a gift to our family and our cluster! They really really went way beyond our expectations! It was hard to see them go this morning, but we are thrilled to hear about what God is doing through them in all of their churches in Arkansas!
