This past Monday, Heather and the three kiddos headed to our local swimming pool. While there, Makinna made a friend with an adorable little Belgian girl. In the process, Heather got to meet her mom and her aunt. After chatting for awhile, Heather learned that the aunt lives very near us, and is a city council member. They invited Heather to take a Thai food making class with them on Tuesday nights. Heather is looking into that opportunity. It was a terrific first meeting of these ladies.
Then as the kids and mommy walked home, we said Bonjour to a mommy and her young ones (it looked like they had been shopping in our little city center). As we walked on together, Heather showed them our home, and invited her to stop by anytime. We chatted awhile longer, and she let us know which park she generally heads too. It was just a really neat day! Thank you, Lord for every bright day when somedays seem so dark! You are so good to encourage our souls with new contacts and relationships.
