New Phase

We have all left our former schools behind.

Josiah and Aubrie finished really well, and got glowing reports from their teachers. Josiah was permitted to move to first grade in September which is a big deal. Many French speaking Belgian kids get held back at this stage, especially boys with summer birthdays. But he did fine! YEAH- Thank you, Lord!! Aubriana is also moving up into the 3rd maternelle class, basically kindergarten.

Last week was super busy with it being the kids final week of school. We had a mini graduation thing one morning, then a big afternoon/evening celebration, and another night we had parent/teacher conferences - completely in French. We understood the 2 teachers and they understood us! Which was a gift and a blessing! All those provided such neat opportunities to for us to spend time getting to know the other parents. It was a GREAT week for ministry here in Belgique!

Brian and Heather have moved to a new language school. It was a good first day for both of us. It is a big change with new teachers, our last teachers were Belgian, this school has French teachers (from France) which have a different teaching style and different accents. School is an hour and half longer each day, which may not seem like much, but it is. Heather's teacher speaks really really quickly, and Heather is coming down with something.

This week is bringing new changes for the kiddos too. Makinna is in creche longer each day, Josiah and Aubrie are attending a swimming camp all day.
