Makinna's 2 and Brian's 38

The weather has been pretty wonderful! Today was absolutely gorgeous!!! Wish you all could have been here with us! Language school is going full throttle! We are learning so much, but there is sooo much more to learn. Keep our comprehension and retention in your prayers. Makinna is speaking French words and phrases, and lots of English sentences all the time. It's so fun to watch her learn and grow from a baby into a little girl. She had a wonderful birthday. Thank you so much to all of you that sent birthday wishes for her.
In the past week and a half Brian experienced a jump in age and a jump in acquiring the French language. Language learning isn't usually a steady slope, and now we are really beginning to see all of his hours of hard work paying off. His teachers even noticed his recent, rapid progress. Maybe wisdom really does come with age! He certainly has more of that than ever! : )
It was really fun celebrating with them both this past week. We even managed to give Aubriana a little 4 and a half birthday too. She's the only one that doesn't have a June or July birthday, and it's nice for her to join the rest of us with a little celebration in summer.
The Lord has given us many opportunities to make new friendships, and we've even had the joy of sharing the story of Jesus, and how to know and be changed by Him. We are keeping in touch with those we've shared with. They are some of the folks we had been asking you to pray for. Thank you for doing just that. We are so thankful that the Lord has you here with us through your faithfulness to pray for the people of Belgium, and for our family.
