We have had some really neat encounters with Belgians. We have begun making friends with a family in Aubriana's class. The mom would like to get together on the 2 week vacation (which begins tomorrow). Please pray that this would happen this coming week. We begin formal French language classes March 31st. We've arranged for a neat Christian Chinese college student to keep the children that week while we are in classes. Pray that the Belgian mom will contact us (we didn't dare ask her for her information, yet, we were already pushing the unwritten rules of conduct). Pray that we'll be able to get together during the first week of vacation, the second week will be much more difficult. She also has a little one Makinna's age and two older ones, all are under 9. We are excited to have met, and that we were able to initiate such a great conversation. We were able to get a lot deeper in a 30 minute conversation than most Belgians are willing to go after knowing someone for months or years, which is a definite answer to prayer. So keep those furvent prayers coming!
We also exchanged email and phone numbers with a neat Congolese (a college student whose family is from the Congo, although she was born and raised here). We will call her Sasha, she is very excited to practice English with us, and we had a good time practicing French with her. We look forward to having her over for games and coffee. She works near where we will be going to language school. We hope to "Run" into her often, Lord willing! Please keep this relationship in your prayers, we feel we should be able to share Christ with her quickly. Pray that she will have ears to hear!
