Josiah...Well???? Moving????

Well, as many of you know, Josiah had oral surgery to remove an extra tooth on Valentines Day. It was such a blessing that the dentist found it when he did, and that he was able to have the surgery in the states. He had his post operation check up Thursday, and the surgeon said he's ready for travel!!! WHEW!!! Also in this same week we received our visa, and our itenerary to head to Brussels! What a wonderful week!!!

To top it all off, the Lord has been providing for our needs to the smallest degree. He provided a person of peace (someone that may or may not be a Christian, that the Lord puts in our path to help us and/or encourage us) at United. Our travel agent wasn't able to book our seats for any of our flights, but this wonderful lady did that for us for our long flight from DC to Brussels. We are all together, not sprinkled thoughout the plane. We are on the second to last row of the plane which has only four seats, so Brian will be sitting one row in front of us, or we might just squeeze into the four seats. I can't begin to tell you what a blessing that was for us. Seriously! She also reserved kid's meals for the kids, and added our mileage numbers to the tickets. I think she might be an angel, that moonlights as a reservation agent at United.

Heather was able to share with her about where we are going and why. She had the typical response, "I didn't realize that Belgium had a big need for missionaries." It was a neat opportunity to share with her that only .06% of the population are Evangelical Christians.

The Lord has been answering pray request after prayer request for us. Thank you so much for praying on our behalf.

We would covet your prayes as we travel. We are leaving Thursday morning on united at 8:25Am. We have a four hour layover in DC and leave there on flight 950. We arrive in Brussels at 7:15AM. Here is a tricky part. We have to try somehow to stay up alllllll day until at least evening. You might say, "Why is that tricky," welllll, when we land in Brussels it will be 11PM in Denver time. Exactly the point at which we are all bedded down for a deep night sleep. Sooo that is going to be interesting. We are praying that the children won't sleep much on our first flight or during the layover, but that they will sleep nearly the entire flight on the plane from DC to Brussels. We are going to invest in some good ear plugs for the last flight!!!

We would love for you to pray for us to have a few more run ins with persons of peace. We need one at the ticket counter in Denver. They could give Heather's mom (and possibly her sister) a gate pass that would allow them to help us get our five flight attendant carry ons, stroller, 3 back packs, 1 purse, 1 diaper bag and three little ones through security and to the gate.

We need another one to help us get on and off the planes throughout the day. This seems like a lot to ask, but God is able. He is SUCH A BIG GOD!!!!! Most of all, give Him praise and glory for being who He is!

We have a vonage Denver phone number. You may reach us just as you would if we were in Denver. Send us an email, we would love to give it to you. We won't post it, b/c this is an open blog.

We love you and appreciate you. Would you please email us from time to time, and fill us in on your lives and how we can better pray for you. We commit to writing you back personally. We will be without our own internet connection for a few days up to a week or more after we arrive. So please be patient with us, as we get settled! We love you. May our awesome Lord reign in your hearts and lives.

We certainly will be praying for the Belgium 5 this week as you prepare, and Thursday/Friday as you travel. Thanks for your fantastic Blog - even going back to FPO days - glimpses of FPO life we prayer-walkers did not experience.

Heather & Brianomeister - I subscribed to your RSS feed so we can stay in touch. You guys know John and I are here for you despite the distance.
Re: traveling w/ kids and not being an octopus... let the flight attendants know you'll need gate help @ transfers and they will make sure it's there when you deplane.
Meletonin (Briano, you should know this, Mr. Former GNC boss O' mine...) is fantastic for the time zone flipping. I've used it for international travel to E.Europe. And your excitement will carry you through that looooonnnnnnggggg day. I was surprised I could do it the first time I went over seas. I'd never pulled an all-nighter in my life.
We love you guys. Glad things went well for Josiah. Kyle's surgery went well this AM and he's back to his Boogey little self.
