Divine Appointment
After the short day of school on Wednesday, Heather picked up the kids, and went to our little local grocery store. Heather grabbed a little cart, and noticed a little elderly lady walking in behind them. She offered her cart to the lady. The lady then told her that she has retinal eye problems, and can't see very well. Heather offered to help her find things in the store, no big deal, we were in no hurry. Part of our reason in going to this market is to be out in our little community for just such opportunities, to have interactions and to meet people. After we found the few things on her list, she stumped me. She asked for something, and I had no idea where to find it. We found a worker, and she explained to him that I was helping her. She then asked me if I am Christian. What a shock in a dark place such as this. I said, "Yes!" She said, "I am too, and I knew you must be to help me with your little ones here with you." What a gift Elisabeth was to me, I gave her my name and phone number written VERY large and dark in her notebook. Hopefully, she will call me whenever she needs anything. I let her know we live really closeby, and would love to help her. I am not sure if Miss Elisabeth was sent by God to the market at that time just to encourage me, but she most certainly touched my heart. What a sweet lesson that God is at work here, and has been at work here! There are believers and those that truly love and Follow the Savior! Rejoice with us of this sweet discovery of a fellow believer and lover of Jesus!

Thanks for sharing that story. We take such small things for granted sometimes, but to have such an intimate connection with a "stranger" is an awesome experience. It seems like you are sensing the leading of the Spirit and seeing the grace of God in action in your everyday lives.
This is the witness of the Gospel! We don't have to wax eloquently in our speech or have a Christian IQ of 180...we need to be living lives of FAITH as Children of our Heavenly Father in our everyday experiences.
Believe me, you are an encouragement to us. We praise our Lord for His work in and through you.
God Bless

Very encouraging. I have been following your journey. Know that my family is praying for you.
You need to send this to Mentanna to publish for all of us to read and be encouraged by! Isn't it wonderful to have such a loving Father?
Love you! me
