Makinna turns 22 months!!
The view from the front door of our building. What a cool reminder each day that we aren't in the US any more. It's so cool!
The Zee bunch on our living room balcony.
Ours apartment is on the third floor of this brown brick building. 1st level is garages, the 2nd is the apt. of a really nice family from Indonesia, then ours, above that there are two smaller flats for a couple different single ladies. It is a great building, and a great apartment. We are so thankful that the Lord provided us such a fine home.
The tram tracks go right in front of our home. You can see the yellow and gray trams in other pictures from a previous post. The sounds of the trams put us to sleep at night. We aren't sure how we'll sleep when we get back to the US without them.
On a mini prayer walk through our neighborhood, we noticed just how neat the old row homes are. Many of the streets in this town are paved with bricks, which adds so much character. As we walked, we thanked the Lord for having us here, and prayed for the thousands of people living in those homes. That one day they would cry out to Jesus to change their hearts and follow Him, and become themselves missionaries with their friends and families. Here are some pictures of our apartment and neighborhood. You can join us in praying for our area called Stockel in the commune of
Woluwe St. Pierre in Brussels, Belgium.
Language school is going well. We are learning more each day, it would be very hard not to with only two students : ) . New French verbs and phrases fill our days, which are allowing us to make more and more sentences. The tough part is getting the correct spelling for all those words, phrases, and sentences. French has a lot of silent letters, and many that are only spoken if the following word begins with a vowel. So many rules and so many acceptions, but it's still very fun. Thank you for all your words of encouragement to us, and all your prayers for us. We simply could not be here without God's grace daily. He is so Good!
A BIG BIG DEAL HAPPENED today!!! Makinna Renee did #2 on the toilet!!!!! YEAH!!! You've never seen a party, like a party when a child does this for the first time! Perhaps you've been apart of one of these celebrations. They are so fun. What a joy to watch your little ones grow up! Here are some new pictures of our BIG 22 month old whose starting to make real strides toward being potty trained!
It's raining... what can you do with three little ones, buy a used slide for really cheap and bring the outdoors in. Makinna LOVES this slide. It is wonderful! The kids have a blast, getting the wiggles out, and daddy and mommy can study!
